Mapping Options during Data Transfer

The FIRST STEP is to select the Type of Mapping to use on this Column

Click in the Image on "Default" or any "Option" to open that Step by Step tutor

Click in the Image on any "Mapping Option Type" or "Save" or "Cancel" to Navigate

  • Default Value : use any default value to be used for this column OR use generated functions DATE TIME GUID...
  • Server (side) Default : IF you have such a value defined in the SQL server it will be displayed here automatically and used if the source column is empty
  • Operation (COMBINABLE) : use + - * / LEFT RIGHT SUBSTRING UPPER LOWER PARSE CAPITALIZE etc ....
  • Replace (COMBINABLE) : replace directly a string by another OR use an external "grouped replacement" table
  • Concatenate (COMBINABLE) : append after the column value another column's value and separator to use
  • DateTime : use the proper DateTime formating on this column's value
  • Auto Increment : define this column should use an auto incremented value and enter the starting number to use
  • Condition(s) (COMBINABLE) : define for this column OR at record level one or several conditions to use
  • Update : define if this column can be used as a KEY (identifier) to UPDATE the Destination Table

(you can also select the relevant TABS to select your Options)

To combine an Option with Condition(s) : after defining the main option click on the Conditions "Yes" radio box

When an Option is selected the relevant radio boxes will be selected and the "Default" value will be disabled and prefilled
